Privacy policy
The short of it: what you save is yours. We don't sell it, share it, or peek at it. The long of it follows.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Loomr collects, how it is used, and what choices you have. Loomr is operated by Chira Technologies Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”), registered in Bengaluru, India.
What we collect
- Account information. Email address and, for users who connect via WhatsApp, the phone number associated with the account.
- Content you save. The links, text, voice notes, photos, screenshots, and other items you forward, share, or upload to Loomr.
- Usage telemetry. Anonymised events that tell us which features are working — page views, errors, latency. We do not collect device identifiers tied to your name.
How we use it
- To run the service: storing your saved threads, processing search queries, and showing results.
- To improve the product: understanding what works and what's broken.
- To support you: replying to questions you send us, and notifying you about material changes to the service.
What we don't do
- We do not use the contents of your saved threads to train AI models.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Storage and encryption
Your data is stored on managed infrastructure in cloud regions appropriate to your jurisdiction. Saved content is encrypted at rest. Communications between the app, our servers, and our sub-processors use TLS in transit.
Retention and deletion
You can export or delete all of your data from inside the app at any time. When you delete your account, we remove your content from our primary stores within 30 days; backups are purged within 90 days.
Sub-processors
We use a small number of vendors to operate Loomr — for hosting, transactional email, payment processing, and customer support. We choose vendors that offer industry-standard security and data-protection commitments. A current list is available on request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email loomr@chiratech.com.
Children
Loomr is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app before the changes take effect. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
